The city of Djanet is set to host an international beach volleyball tournament from October 26 to November 2, with teams representing eight countries: Algeria, Niger, Mauritius, Lebanon, Palestine, Poland, Senegal, and Yemen. Participating delegations are expected to arrive on October 26, with a technical meeting scheduled for October 27 and competition starting on October 28. This event is part of the Algerian Volleyball Federation's efforts to promote the sport and foster international athletic cooperation. Notably, the Algerian men's team recently secured their spot in the 2027 World Championship following their successful run at the African Championship in Egypt, where they reached the final.
