Algeria has successfully registered the historic cities of Nedroma, Béjaïa, and Mila within the architectural and urban heritage registry of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO). This achievement was confirmed during the 11th meeting of the organization's heritage observatory, held in Cairo from October 25 to 27. The recognition highlights the historical depth of Algerian heritage and follows ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Culture and Arts to preserve national sites. This status is expected to facilitate restoration projects, enhance the international promotion of these landmarks, and boost cultural tourism to contribute to sustainable economic growth.
