Khenchela: 10 hunting zones offered for lease and new forestry initiatives launched

The Khenchela Forest Conservation department has announced the leasing of 10 hunting zones covering a total area of 3,015 hectares across 8 municipalities. This initiative, regulated by national forestry laws, is exclusively open to local accredited hunting associations, with a 15-day window for application submissions. In a separate development, the department has issued a tender for companies specialized in forestry work to carry out reforesting projects on 1,500 hectares, divided into 7 lots, as part of the 2023 development program. Furthermore, preparations are underway for the upcoming 2026-2027 tree-planting campaign and the National Tree Day celebrations, reflecting efforts to expand vegetation cover and protect the province's forest resources.
