Kazakh Ambassador to Algeria, Anuarbek Akhmetov, revealed plans for a direct flight between Algiers and Astana, to be operated by Air Algérie, aimed at facilitating business travel and economic cooperation. Trade between the two nations witnessed a significant surge, climbing from $5 million in 2024 to $76 million in 2025. A delegation of 15 Kazakh business leaders is scheduled to visit Algiers in late November to discuss investment prospects in mining, agriculture, and the digital economy. The Ambassador emphasized the need to improve the trade balance by importing more Algerian products, such as dates and citrus fruits. Additionally, discussions involve potential collaborations in healthcare, tourism, and the digitization of public services.
