Sonatrach releases 2025 annual report highlighting robust operational performance

Sonatrach's 2025 annual report shows a total turnover of 5,748 billion dinars (approx. $42.54 billion), with export revenues accounting for 5,230 billion dinars. Despite the average crude oil price dropping to $69 per barrel, the company achieved a net profit of 603 billion dinars. Total hydrocarbon production remained stable at 193.7 million tons of oil equivalent (toe). Total sales rose by 1.4% to 165.1 million toe, driven by a 6% increase in domestic market demand, reaching 76.1 million toe. In terms of exploration, Sonatrach successfully made 17 new self-funded discoveries. Investments increased by 29%, reaching $7.9 billion. As a major supplier in the Mediterranean, the company maintained its strategic position while continuing its environmental commitments, including a 31% reduction in flared gas compared to 2020. Furthermore, the company bolstered local integration by awarding 512 billion dinars in contracts to domestic firms.
