92 Billion Dinar Tax Fraud Network Dismantled in Algeria
Central authorities fighting organized crime have dismantled a criminal network involved in tax evasion, money laundering, and forgery. The investigation uncovered the use of over 400 fake commercial registries to process illegal financial transactions, causing an estimated 92 billion dinar loss to the public treasury. A total of 25 individuals were arrested, and 230 million dinars were recovered. During the operation, police seized several vehicles, administrative stamps, and various documents linked to the scheme. The suspects have been referred to the economic and financial penal pole in Algiers to face legal proceedings.
