Tehran hosts high-level four-way meeting on regional stability
Tehran is hosting a meeting today between officials from the Makkah Defense Agreement nations—Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan—and Iranian counterparts to discuss de-escalation efforts. Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman leads his country's delegation, alongside Turkish Intelligence Chief Ibrahim Kalin and Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir. The attendees are scheduled to meet with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaï. The initiative aims to promote diplomatic dialogue, support mediation efforts by Qatar and Pakistan, and underscore the role of Makkah Agreement states in regional security. The talks will also address the expansionist policies of the Zionist entity and the ongoing developments in Lebanon and Palestine, emphasizing that regional stability rests on the collective will and security considerations of the local nations.
