Air Algérie resumes flights to Tripoli after decade-long suspension
Air Algérie has officially relaunched its direct flight service between Algiers and Tripoli, ending a service hiatus that began in 2014. The inaugural flight departed from Houari Boumediene International Airport as part of the national carrier's strategy to expand its international network across Africa. The new route will operate two weekly flights, facilitating both passenger travel and commercial trade between the two nations. Libyan officials highlighted the move as a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations and historic ties. This reconnection is part of the airline's broader expansion program, which also includes the recent opening of routes to Conakry, Brazzaville, and Lagos, positioning Algiers as a strategic transit hub for the continent.
