This tool allows citizens to report commercial violations directly, turning the consumer into an active partner in monitoring market health. Reports cover issues such as failure to display prices, exceeding official price caps on staple goods, hygiene violations, and deceptive trade practices. Zaki Hariz, head of the Algerian Consumer Protection Federation, notes that this platform acts as an early warning system, helping authorities deploy inspection teams to hotspots more effectively. To ensure the success of this digital initiative, Hariz emphasizes the need for swift field responses, the creation of evening inspection teams, and the activation of municipal hygiene offices to ensure comprehensive coverage in remote areas where traditional inspection reach is limited.
