The city of Timimoun, known as the Red Oasis, has launched its international festival of hot air balloons and giant kites, coinciding with the third edition of the National School Sports Championship. These events, held ahead of the November 1st anniversary celebrations, highlight the region's desert tourism potential. The five-day festival features participants from 18 countries alongside Algerian specialized clubs. Meanwhile, the school championship gathers teams from 22 provinces to compete in football and sand volleyball, reinforcing Timimoun's position as a key host for significant national and international gatherings.
