Local Elections: ANIE Oversees Fair Media Airtime Allocation
Ahead of the November 28th local elections, the National Independent Authority for Elections (ANIE) conducted a lottery at the International Conference Center to allocate airtime for candidates on public media. This process ensures that political parties and independent lists receive equal exposure, with a total of 1,267 hours and 48 minutes set aside for the campaign. Starting November 5th, candidates will use these slots to present their proposals for local development and public services. By implementing these rigorous standards of neutrality and transparency, the ANIE aims to foster an informed electoral environment, allowing citizens to compare programs effectively before heading to the polls.
