Sonatrach CEO Nourredine Daoudi met with a delegation from the Czech company ČEZ, headed by CEO Daniel Beneš, to discuss the implementation and potential extension of their natural gas supply contract, which has been in effect since 2024. The talks took place on Monday during the official visit of the Czech Prime Minister to Algeria. Both sides agreed to explore further opportunities for collaboration, aiming to broaden their commercial partnership and solidify Sonatrach's role as a stable energy provider in Europe. The initial agreement, which supplies natural gas to the Czech Republic through the pipeline connecting Algeria to Italy, was recently extended for an additional year, effective from October 2025.
