Algeria prepares a massive export initiative for non-hydrocarbon products
Algeria is set to launch a major, unprecedented export operation for non-hydrocarbon goods on November 7th. Coordinated by the Ministry of Interior and Local Authorities, this initiative commemorates the 72nd anniversary of the start of the national liberation war and aims to showcase the industrial potential of various regions. Key participants include Condor, which will export 400 containers of household appliances and metal structures to various Arab and African nations, and Faderco, which is shipping 50 containers of hygiene products and raw materials to markets in the US, UK, Tunisia, and Ivory Coast. This campaign follows Algeria's ongoing efforts to diversify its economy, with a target of $5 billion in non-oil exports for 2026, building upon the $4 billion already achieved in the first eight months of the year.
