Algerian and Spanish entities have signed two cooperation agreements in Algiers to ensure red meat supplies ahead of Ramadan 2027. The deals involved the Algerian company Alviar and the National Union of Red Meat Importers, alongside Spanish professional organizations Interovic and Provacuno. These agreements focus on technical knowledge exchange, animal breeding improvements, and logistics, following national directives to guarantee market stability. Officials emphasized that proactive preparations are underway to meet consumer demand. The Spanish side expressed a commitment to long-term cooperation, highlighting that Algeria remains the primary destination for Spanish beef exports outside the European Union.
