The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments commemorated the 72nd anniversary of the Algerian Revolution with a ceremony attended by central administration officials, representatives from the Ministry of National Defense, scholars, and imams. Minister Belmehdi stated that November is central to Algerian identity, describing the Revolution as an epic struggle against colonial efforts to erode the nation's faith and heritage. The Minister highlighted the Revolution’s global impact as an inspiration for independence movements worldwide, acknowledging the sacrifice of 5.5 million martyrs since 1830. He also emphasized the duty of religious leaders to instill patriotism in the younger generation, while paying tribute to historical figures such as Emir Abdelkader and Larbi Ben M'hidi.
