Between September 30 and October 6, 2026, the Ministry of National Defense reported significant operational achievements. Military units successfully blocked the entry of over 21 quintals of treated cannabis via the Moroccan border, arresting 32 drug traffickers and seizing over 89,000 psychotropic pills. Regarding counter-terrorism, two terrorists surrendered to authorities in the 6th Military Region with weapons and ammunition, and 8 terrorist support members were detained nationwide. In the fight against organized crime, 96 individuals involved in illegal gold mining were apprehended alongside various equipment. Additionally, 14 other individuals were arrested with seized weapons and fuel. Efforts to combat illegal migration led to the rescue of 163 people at sea by coast guards, while 228 migrants were detained across the country, underscoring the army's ongoing mission to secure borders and combat criminal activity.
