Constantine: Investment in Gas Network Upgrades and Carbon Monoxide Safety Measures

The distribution directorate in Constantine has allocated 8.31 billion centimes to modernize and upgrade the local gas network, covering over 8 kilometers across various neighborhoods and industrial zones. The project, set to begin shortly, focuses on replacing aging infrastructure with polyethylene pipes to enhance supply reliability and reduce leaks. Additionally, the initiative to install carbon monoxide detectors has reached a 95% completion rate since March 2023, benefiting approximately 144,000 customers. The authorities are also preparing to launch a maintenance campaign for chimney vents and flues to ensure household safety during the winter months, while urging residents to maintain proper ventilation.
