Algerian hydrocarbon exports reach $37.5 billion in nine months

Minister of State and Minister of Hydrocarbons, Mohamed Arkab, reported that Algeria's hydrocarbon exports earned $37.5 billion from January to September 2026. The increase is largely attributed to a 37% rise in the average price of Algerian crude, reaching $97 per barrel, alongside strong gas prices at $11.3 per million BTU. Oil tax revenues have surpassed 2026 budget forecasts, hitting 105% of the annual target. Sonatrach has increased its investment activity, totaling $6 billion over the first nine months. Looking forward, the government has allocated $71.6 billion through 2030 to further develop production, exploration, and refining capacities.
