The fifth edition of the 'Touber' Date Festival has officially opened in Timimoun, bringing together farmers, producers, and economic stakeholders. Organized by the local Chamber of Agriculture, the event seeks to showcase the quality of dates from the Red Oasis and promote their commercial reach, specifically targeting African markets. During the opening ceremony, Timimoun Wali Souna Benamar urged attendees to leverage the current Saharan tourism season to promote local products and increase producers' income. The week-long festival serves as a platform for professionals to share expertise on date processing, sector development, and methods for managing date palm diseases.
