France Visa: QR Code Now Mandatory at Capago Algeria Centers
Capago Algeria, the agency responsible for French visa applications, has announced that applicants must now present the QR code found on their appointment confirmation. In a statement released this Sunday, October 25, the company emphasized that this code is required upon arrival and can be displayed either printed or on a mobile device, provided it is legible. Applicants are urged to confirm the presence of this code before visiting the center. This update is part of several temporary procedural changes implemented since October 7, which also include automatic appointment confirmation and in-person cash payments at the time of submission. Previously, in June, the company introduced a document pre-verification service to assist applicants with their paperwork. France issued over 204,000 visas to Algerian nationals throughout 2025.
