The eighth matchday of the Algerian professional league features key fixtures for the table leaders. The undefeated MC Oran hosts O. Akbou, while CR Belouizdad faces JS Saoura at home. The chasing pack, led by JS Kabylie and MB Rouissat with 13 points each, will look to climb higher by hosting JS El-Biar and ES Ben Aknoun respectively. Meanwhile, USM Alger faces a difficult away trip against CS Constantine; the hosts are currently struggling, having recently dismissed coach Mondher Kebaïer and accepted the resignation of their interim general manager, Tarek Arama.
