The Algerian judo team finished its participation in the individual events of the World Championships, held in Baku from October 4th to 10th, with an underwhelming record of only one victory. The Algerian delegation included Kais Moudathir (-66 kg), Driss Messaoud Redouane (-73 kg), Mohamed El Mehdi Lili (+100 kg), and Yasmine Djellab (-63 kg). Kais Moudathir, Mohamed El Mehdi Lili, and Yasmine Djellab were all eliminated in the first round following losses to athletes from Kazakhstan, Poland, and Spain. Meanwhile, Driss Messaoud Redouane managed to progress past the opening round by defeating Hungarian Aron Szabo, but his journey ended in the second round after a defeat against Italian Giovanni Esposito.
