The Ministry of National Solidarity, Family and Women's Affairs, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund, conducted a training course from October 25 to 28, 2026. The program focused on members of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities and the National Committee for accessibility. This initiative is part of a joint action plan designed to improve the capacities of institutional and community stakeholders in safeguarding the rights of people with disabilities and boosting their social inclusion. These efforts align with Algeria's international obligations, specifically the ninth commitment made at the 2025 Global Disability Summit in Berlin. The training aimed to enhance the participants' practical expertise, deepen their understanding of international legal frameworks, and incorporate sustainable development goals into care strategies to ensure the effective participation of individuals with disabilities in all aspects of life.
