Registration opens for the 22nd Algeria Quran Memorization Prize
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Wakfs has announced the opening of registration for the 22nd edition of the Algeria Prize for the memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran, set to take place in November 2026. The competition is designed to nurture talent among youth and foster excellence in Quranic studies. It features three distinct tracks: an international competition, a national competition involving interpretation, and an incentive category for young children. Key requirements include full memorization using the Warsh style, mastery of tajweed rules, and adherence to specific age brackets: 15–25 years for the international contest, under 15 for the incentive track, and 25 and older for the national level. Participants must also not have previously placed in the top three or be established professional reciters.
