The Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Wassim Kouidri, is currently visiting Germany to discuss the implementation of advanced cell therapy production in Algeria. Accompanied by Saidal Group CEO Younes Bouarara, the delegation is visiting the biotech firm Miltenyi Biotec to explore technology transfers and specialized training. The initiative aims to localize stem cell treatments for cancer and complex diseases, thereby reducing costs and dependency on foreign medical care. By fostering national expertise and infrastructure, Algeria intends to become a regional leader in the field, potentially building on existing ties with Sweden’s Karolinska Institute to form a strategic tripartite cooperation for scientific and industrial advancement.
