Heritage: Nedroma, Bejaia and Mila added to Arab Architectural Register
Algeria has successfully registered three of its ancient cities—Nedroma, Bejaia, and Mila—within the Architectural and Urban Heritage Register of the Arab World, overseen by ALECSO. This achievement followed the eleventh meeting of the heritage observatory, hosted at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo from October 25 to 27. This recognition serves as a testament to the depth of Algeria's cultural heritage and the success of its regional cultural diplomacy. The listing will facilitate dedicated restoration projects and bolster efforts to promote cultural tourism, supporting the government's strategy to preserve national heritage and advance sustainable development.
