Modernization of the highway connecting Douaouda and Bou Ismail
The Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, Abdelkader Djellaoui, alongside the Wali of Tipaza, Mohamed Amine Benchoualia, inaugurated the modernized highway section linking Douaouda and Bou Ismail in Fouka. The 10-km project included asphalt resurfacing, the installation of concrete median barriers, the expansion of technical structures, drainage system installation, and public lighting. The initiative is designed to improve traffic flow along the Tipaza coastline, reduce congestion during peak hours and summer seasons, and enhance safety between Algiers and Tipaza, thereby boosting regional economic and tourism activity. This project is part of a national program marking the 72nd anniversary of the Revolution, which involves the launch of 95 projects across 24 wilayas covering 853.5 kilometers.
