The railway network in the western suburbs of Algiers has faced fresh sabotage operations. On Friday, technical equipment responsible for the electrical power supply to trains was vandalized, leading to major service disruptions on the Agha-El Affroun and Agha-Zeralda lines. The National Rail Transport Company has deployed human and material resources to conduct repairs and normalize traffic as quickly as possible. This incident follows a dangerous attack on September 4th in the Relizane province, where a freight train driver suffered serious injuries after his train was pelted with stones. The public company emphasized that it continues to strengthen security and protective measures in coordination with relevant authorities to combat these acts, safeguard passengers, and ensure the continuity of public rail services.
