Sahrawi youth in refugee camps call for return to armed struggle

Thousands of young people and children from the third generation participated in a 'Rejection and Independence' march at the Aousserd refugee camp, expressing their frustration with the ongoing lack of a political solution. These tech-savvy youths argue that the passage of time is being exploited by the occupying power to systematically plunder their land's mineral and energy resources. Participants at the rally declared that they no longer trust international promises, insisting that liberation can only be achieved through military action. Chanting slogans against autonomy and for full independence, the demonstrators stated that the UN process has failed to deliver results. A young refugee participant shared her resentment toward life in the camps, demanding a return to her homeland to live with dignity, arguing that what was taken by force can only be reclaimed through force.
