Education: Training for 64,000 new teachers to commence in November
The Ministry of National Education has scheduled the start of training for the 64,000 teachers recruited for the 2025 academic year for this coming November. The program, which runs until July 2027, will be conducted on Saturdays and during school breaks. Relevant educational authorities have finalized preparations for these sessions. The training is divided into two tracks: a nine-month program consisting of 400 hours and a seven-month program totaling 200 hours, both covering theoretical and practical aspects of teaching. Participation is mandatory; unjustified absences may lead to expulsion or delays in permanent appointment. To qualify for their roles as first-class teachers, candidates must pass a final exam with a minimum score of 10/20.
