Algeria calls for balanced labor mobility policies at the Doha Dialogue in Tanzania

Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Mohamed Hattab, participated in the second session of the "Doha Dialogue on Labor Mobility" held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Co-chaired by Qatar and the African Union, the event aims to bridge the gap between African countries and Gulf Cooperation Council states regarding labor migration. The Minister emphasized that labor mobility requires a balanced approach that aligns market needs with the protection of workers' rights and dignity. He highlighted Algeria's ongoing efforts to modernize its labor market through digitalization and improved social security systems. Furthermore, Hattab urged the transformation of these discussions into practical initiatives, specifically advocating for the mutual recognition of professional qualifications and the establishment of transparent, secure mechanisms for financial remittances.
