Air Algérie launches new direct route to Shanghai
Air Algérie inaugurated a new direct flight service on Monday connecting Houari Boumediene International Airport to Shanghai, China. The opening ceremony was overseen by the company's acting sales and network director, Sid Ahmed Dekdouk, alongside representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Shanghai serves as the carrier's third destination in China, following Beijing and Guangzhou, with service scheduled for three flights per week to support passenger and cargo transport. This initiative is part of the airline's broader strategy to expand its global network, which includes new connections to Conakry, Brazzaville, Lagos, and Tripoli, aimed at strengthening economic and commercial ties.
