Ministry of Post launches national awareness campaign against online fraud
The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has launched an awareness campaign aimed at protecting the public from online scams and fraud. Running until October 30, this initiative seeks to improve digital vigilance against cybercrime. The Ministry warns against sharing personal information online and clicking on suspicious links used for phishing. It emphasizes that postal services and banks never request personal data via SMS. Users are urged to check sender addresses, avoid suspicious links, and refrain from entering information on unofficial websites. To ensure account security, the Ministry advises using strong passwords, updating security software, and enabling two-factor authentication. Citizens are also encouraged to contact institutions through official channels to verify any suspicious requests.
