Algeria strengthens domestic vaccine production via German industrial partnership
In a bid to bolster national health security, the Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Wassim Kouidri, led a delegation from the Saidal group to Germany to discuss the implementation of local vaccine production lines. The negotiations with the German firm Syntegon focused on delivery timelines and production capacities. This initiative aims to ensure self-sufficiency in meeting the national immunization schedule while targeting future exports to African markets through collaboration with UNICEF. During the visit, the Algerian delegation inspected cutting-edge, pre-market manufacturing technologies, marking a significant step in transferring expertise and establishing fully automated vaccine production within the country.
