Documentary highlights the militant journey of Louisa Ighilahriz

The Cinémathèque of Algiers hosted the screening of the documentary film "Louisa Ighilahriz, my last memories," directed by Mohamed Ouali. Produced by the Ministry of Mujahideen, the film recounts the early commitment of the moudjahida to the resistance at the age of 15, her 1957 arrest, and the torture she endured within colonial detention centers. Drawing from her 2001 autobiography, the documentary complements her personal testimony with expert insights from historians and academics, including Benjamin Stora and Mohamed El Korso. Aimed at preserving historical truth, the production received a standing ovation and an honorary tribute for Louisa Ighilahriz, recognizing her life-long dedication to upholding the memory of the struggle.
