Although the production of the Fiat Grande Panda was officially launched in September 2025, there is currently no set date for its commercial release in Algeria, despite previous plans mentioned for February 2026. This model, inspired by the 1980s Panda, represents a significant milestone as the first vehicle manufactured in Algeria using the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) system. Fiat Algeria is focused on increasing its integration rate from 20% to 30% by the end of the year, supported by new investments in welding and painting workshops. On October 7, 2026, the Italian Ambassador to Algeria, Alessandra Schiavo, visited the Tafraoui plant in Oran to review production progress and discuss economic cooperation prospects with local authorities.
