The Algerian U15 team successfully concluded the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Festival in Baku as group leaders, following a hard-fought draw against Oman. Trailing 3-2, Karim Ziani's squad rallied late in the game with goals from Zoubidi, Meharzi, and Bouchelaghem to maintain their unbeaten record. With 13 points from four wins and a draw, the team enters the next round after impressive victories against Argentina, Suriname, Chinese Taipei, and Malawi. By securing the top spot, Algeria advances to 'Level A' to face other group winners, such as Brazil or Spain. The goal is to rank among the top 32 teams out of the 189 participating nations. The tournament, played in an 8-a-side format with two 20-minute halves, continues with the next phase scheduled from October 28 to 30, where the young Fennecs will aim for the world title.
