Major Criminal Ring Dismantled: 25 Arrested and Billions Recovered
The Central Service for Combating Organized Crime has successfully dismantled a criminal network involved in forgery, tax evasion, and money laundering. The operation led to the arrest of 25 suspects and the recovery of 23 billion centimes in illicit funds. The network operated through more than 400 fake commercial registrations to conduct fraudulent transactions, resulting in losses to the public treasury exceeding 9,200 billion centimes. Authorities also seized trucks, passenger vehicles, and forged documents. The suspects have been brought before the Economic and Financial Penal Pole in Algiers to face legal proceedings.
