On Tuesday morning, Air Algérie launched its first direct flight connecting Algiers and Shanghai. The inaugural flight, carried out by an Airbus A330-900neo with 175 passengers on board, lasted approximately 14 hours. Business operators have welcomed the new route, noting that it eliminates the need for time-consuming layovers that previously added several hours to their travel. This new connection is expected to further facilitate commercial exchanges and professional mobility between Algeria and China, strengthening cooperation in sectors like industry and manufacturing. By joining the existing routes to Beijing and Guangzhou, this new line deepens the economic partnership and logistical connectivity between the two countries.
