Biskra: Plowing and Sowing Campaign Launched with Target Yield of Over 728,000 Quintals

Biskra has officially inaugurated its plowing and sowing campaign for the 2026-2027 agricultural season, aiming to cultivate a total area exceeding 29,000 hectares. The province targets a production of over 728,891 quintals of various cereals, including durum wheat, soft wheat, and barley. To ensure the success of this season, significant technical resources have been deployed, including a fleet of 2,038 tractors and various seeding and plowing machinery. Specialized committees have been established to monitor the process, and financial support via the 'R'fig' loan scheme has been facilitated for farmers. Additionally, storage facilities with a capacity of 100,000 quintals have been prepared to handle the upcoming harvest.
