The 2027 Finance Bill, recently approved by the Council of Ministers and awaiting parliamentary ratification for an entry into force on January 1st, introduces key adjustments to boost Algeria's tourism sector. Central to these reforms is a significant decrease in visa-on-arrival fees for international tourists visiting through authorized travel agencies. The new pricing structure includes 1,000 DA for a one-day stay, 10,000 DA for up to a week, 15,000 DA for two weeks, and 20,000 DA for a full month. By effectively halving previous costs for longer stays, the government aims to reduce financial barriers and increase the influx of foreign visitors to the country's various tourist destinations.
