Tizi Ouzou: Final farewell to Kabyle artist Othmani

The remains of renowned Kabyle artist Mohamed Aït Othman, known professionally as Othmani, were laid to rest this afternoon at the cemetery in the village of Zaknoun, in the Ath Ouacif region of Tizi Ouzou. Family, friends, fans, and fellow artists gathered in a somber atmosphere to pay their final respects. The singer passed away on October 30 at the age of 81. Throughout his distinguished career, he produced over 16 albums, focusing on themes such as national identity, collective memory, and social issues, cementing his legacy as a prominent figure in Kabyle music.
