The Ministry of National Education has announced temporary, non-integrable contracts for physical education and sports teachers across the three education levels in certain education directorates. The recruitment is governed by Joint Ministerial Instruction No. 05, dated 24 July 2025, which sets out the procedures for hiring and paying contract teachers in public educational institutions under the ministry.
The ministry said the recruitment is intended to fill vacant budgeted posts for the 2026–2027 school year. The posts remained unfilled because there were no candidates residing in the provinces concerned. The measure aims to ensure that pupils can attend school. Applicants may apply regardless of where they live, provided they meet the applicable legal and regulatory requirements, particularly the required qualifications and certificates.
Applications must be submitted to the relevant education directorates from 5 to 15 October 2026, in line with each directorate’s list of vacant posts. The file must include a handwritten application, a copy of the required certificate, proof of the applicant’s status regarding national service, and a crossed postal cheque.
