Sidi Bel Abbès: Breast cancer leads the list of cancer cases

The "Tidjani Haddam" cancer treatment hospital in Sidi Bel Abbès has recorded 988 new cancer cases since the start of the year. Breast cancer remains the most prevalent among women, accounting for nearly 300 cases, followed by colorectal and cervical cancers. Among men, lung and colorectal cancers are the most frequent. During the 'Pink October' awareness month, over 250 women underwent free screenings, leading to the detection of 7 breast cancer cases that are currently receiving medical and surgical care. Specialists have expressed concern regarding the diagnosis of patients under 30, emphasizing that early detection is the primary key to successful treatment outcomes.
