Algeria’s national team completed its preparations on Monday for Tuesday’s friendly against Niger, scheduled for 6 p.m. at the late mujahid Hocine Aït Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou.
The players coached by Ibrahim Hamdani held their final training session at the Sidi Moussa centre, with the staff focusing on the last technical and tactical adjustments. Most of the squad took part in the group workout, while Samir Chergui continued an individual programme under fitness coach Nasser Dainach. Himad Abdelli rejoined the squad and trained normally.
The match is part of both teams’ preparations for the continuation of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Algeria lead Group 9 with four points, having beaten Zambia 3-1 and drawn 2-2 with Burundi.
The friendly will give Algeria’s coaching staff an opportunity to assess the players’ readiness and try different options before competitive action resumes next November with two consecutive qualifying matches against Togo.
