Algerian woman killed in missile attack on Saudi Arabia's Abha airport

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Thursday the death of an Algerian national residing in Saudi Arabia following a missile strike on Abha International Airport. The Algerian authorities have reached out to the victim's family to convey their condolences, while the Algerian embassy in Riyadh and the consulate in Jeddah are monitoring the situation alongside Saudi officials. Algeria has strongly condemned the attack on civilian facilities, reaffirming its solidarity with the Kingdom and calling for an immediate end to assaults that destabilize the region. Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation previously reported that both Abha and King Khalid airports were targeted, resulting in two deaths, including an Algerian and a Moroccan resident, along with 28 injuries among citizens and expatriates.
