The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion has established an intersectoral committee tasked with preparing the official program for Algeria's participation in international economic and trade events for 2027 and 2028. Under the supervision of Minister Kamal Rezig, the committee aims to prioritize markets that offer genuine opportunities for exports and partnerships, with a special focus on the African continent. The strategy seeks to transition from traditional attendance at exhibitions to achieving tangible commercial results, such as opening new markets for Algerian products and connecting exporters with international importers. The Minister emphasized the need for a precise economic approach that considers the export capacity of national firms and specific market demands. At the start of the meeting, participants observed a minute of silence to mourn the passing of the Chief of Staff of the Presidency, Boualem Boualem, who died on Monday.
