Hydrocarbon Regulatory Authority boosts digital transformation

The Hydrocarbon Regulatory Authority is preparing to launch a new data center this November, following the completion of testing phases. This project aims to enhance the collection and analysis of data across the hydrocarbon sector, improving the authority's monitoring capabilities. During the NAPEC 2026 event, the head of the authority, Amine Remini, stated that the center will cover the entire value chain, from upstream oil and gas operations to product distribution. This move is part of a broader digital transition that includes the « Mahrougate » platform, launched in February 2026 by domestic teams. Currently focused on distribution and manufacturing permits, the platform is set to expand its scope to include refining, pipeline transport, and storage by the end of the first half of 2027.
