The Ministry of National Defense released a report on military operations conducted between October 21 and 27, 2026. Detachments of the People's National Army arrested 7 individuals involved in supporting terrorist groups. In the fight against organized crime, security forces apprehended 31 drug traffickers, seizing over 383 kilograms of treated cannabis from the Moroccan border, alongside significant quantities of hallucinogenic tablets and cocaine. Additionally, operations against illegal gold mining in Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, and In Guezzam resulted in the detention of 201 people and the seizure of mining tools, vehicles, and weapons. Separately, coast guards intercepted 123 individuals attempting illegal migration by sea, while 166 irregular migrants of various nationalities were apprehended across the country.
