Gymnastics: Kaylia Nemour retains world title in Rotterdam
Olympic champion Kaylia Nemour has successfully defended her world title on the uneven bars at the 2026 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Rotterdam. The Algerian star secured the gold medal with a score of 15.333 points, beating runner-up Helen Kevric of Germany and bronze medalist Skye Blakely of the United States. This victory follows her 2025 triumph in Jakarta and continues her dominance in the sport. After narrowly missing the podium in the individual all-around event, Nemour bounced back to reclaim her gold-standard status before heading to the balance beam final. The championships also saw a historic milestone for the Algerian team, which finished 20th overall with a delegation of six athletes.
